It all started with…

WOMEN & LITERATURE.

Who and what fits into this category? How do we understand literature, at its structural core, as an art form, as experience, as identity and internal absorption, as expression and authorship? Even more captivating, how do we understand or think of women, as a term, as physical beings, as actors and agents in society, as authors, as mothers, sisters, as exclusive, as fluid, as powerful?

howlingbuzzard, right now, is a blog dedicated to a Women & Literature English class at Carleton University; exploring the adventures of what it means to be a woman writing within the all-encompassing term Literature.
